Graphic Design Internship


MetaProp is a New York-based venture capital firm focused on the real estate technology (“PropTech”) industry. The firm manages multiple investment funds for both financial and strategic real estate investors representing a pilot and test-ready sandbox of 15+ billion square feet across every real estate asset type and global market. As a Graphic Designer you understand the power behind dynamic visual design. You know that good design is more than just “making things look pretty”. You are constantly looking for the right balance between form and function and take pride in conceptualizing and producing designs that solve needs in beautiful, creative and efficient ways. You basically breathe, eat and live design.

MetaProp  is recruiting for a part-time, for-credit Graphic Design Intern. We are looking for a student in a graduate or undergraduate program (we will also consider recent graduates in certain circumstances). Candidates must be able to commit to at least twenty (20) hours per week during the fall semester.

The ideal candidate likes tech and has worked at a startup or wants to be an entrepreneur someday. A person who loves working collaboratively but can achieve goals independently, moves fast, and has limitless creativity would fit in well with our team. At MetaProp we work really hard and accomplish 2X what one can in a corporate setting with a with a small team of creative, smart and ambitious people.

  • Conceptualize and create digital and print solutions, including web pages, custom page layouts, brochures, flyers, email templates, reports, signage, banners, etc.

  • Update user-facing site (no knowledge of code needed)

  • Translate new design requirements into wireframes and mockups

  • Provide user-centered design expertise from concept to delivery

  • Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure consistency of brand identity


  • Well-versed in Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign and other Adobe Creative Suite programs

  • Good use of fonts, layout, color and general design concepts

  • Good eye for design, with a modern and balanced aesthetic

  • HTML, CSS and/or WordPress experience (preferred but not a must)

  • PowerPoint experience (strongly preferred but not a must)

  • Strong project management abilities and follow through, including strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills with a results focus

  • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines

  • Familiarity with online marketing and social media

  • Familiarity with the real estate, tech, or venture capital industry is a plus

  • Passion for being creative is a MUST!
